“Ural Phenomenon”: 10 most unusual custom motorcycles based on the Russian “Ural”

practically
over the years, either externally or internally, and at the same time, no matter how you look at it, remains relevant. Someone will say that for compatriots “Ural” has long become something completely inaccessible, and that the only consumers are foreign buyers who buy motorcycles with sidecars for fun. But this is not entirely true, because firstly, that same “Ural” has long received a bunch of technical bells and whistles, from the injection system and brakes to (recently) updated engine components. And besides, the brand’s managers got into electric exercises, presenting the famous motorcycle with a sidecar, equipped with an electric motor and batteries.

Despite all the reviews, the car remains popular; various images atypical for the Ural regularly appear on the Internet, in which it appears either without a stroller or with one.

We present the ten most unusual custom motorcycles based on the Ural.

Punk boxer from K-Speed studio

This unusual device was assembled in the K-Speed studio in Thailand. The soup set in the form of an old “Ural” went to the developers for some ridiculous money, and the talented craftsmen needed no more than one and a half thousand dollars to process it, and of course time. The result was justified. True, there is little left of the classic “Ural” except the frame, engine and some individual spare parts. Even the tank of this beauty is not from Ural, but from an old Kawasaki.

Russian "beaver" from Siberia

And this “beaver” based on the Ural M72 model was assembled by Roman Molchanov from Novosibirsk. The result was very solid.

Unusual Scrambler from South America

And this unusual Scrambler, with a boxer engine, was built by the masters of the Argentine custom studio “Lucky Custom”.

As in the other two cases, little remains of the classic Russian motorcycle except the frame and engine, and probably the drive still remains original. In general, the bike has been radically reborn.

American racer from Maryland

This example was called the Ural 650 Racer. It was created by Jeff Yarington, from Maryland. At the beginning of the 2000s, Jeff and his partner founded a custom studio called Saint Motorbikes, where they reworked and modified various motorcycles.

This particular instance has probably spread all over the Internet. It was even listed on Ebay several times. But whether it was sold, for how much, or not, history is silent.

Customized Ural from Krivoy Rog

This stylish motorcycle was built by motorcycle enthusiast Konstantin Motuz from Krivoy Rog (Ukraine).

The motorcycle engine was redesigned, but they decided not to get rid of the carburetor. The front suspension was literally thrown out, replaced with a fork from a Kawasaki Ninja. In addition, the bike received a four-speed KMZ gearbox. Motorcycle weight 180 kg.

Custom “3 in 1” – bobber-chopper-scrambler

Yes, yes, this happens too. We were unable to find out who built this unusual device. But it seems that the flight of engineering thought during design literally flew in different directions.

As a result, if you take into account the driver’s position, then it’s a chopper; if you take into account the hard single seat, then it’s probably a bobber. But if you take a closer look at the tire tread, then in part it is even somewhat off-road. It turns out that this is three-in-one? Chopper-bobber-scrambler?! At a factory somewhere in Bolonia or Munich, they will probably cry if they see this handsome guy. But we couldn't help but show it to you
