DIY outdoor metal shoe cleaner

Hi all. As a person who has lived in the south of Russia for a long time, the concept of “snow” has long become alien to me, despite the fact that I was born in Tyumen.

Siberians will be little surprised by the presence of snowdrifts already in October, but I cursed the weather from the moment I left the airport in the city where my parents live. Having marched along the entrance in order to knock the snow off my feet, I was pleasantly surprised that they had an interesting device that my father had made.

Dad learned the recipe when he was visiting friends in Seattle, America. In his words, the plan is as follows:

Device for cleaning shoes from snow, sand and dirt

Tools and materials
-Metal corner -Metal tire -Metal sheet -Screws -Shoe or sweeping brush 3 pcs.
-Welding machine -Angle grinder -Drill -Screwdriver (can be replaced with a screwdriver) -Paint Manufacturing process.

First you need to determine the dimensions of the future device. To do this, you need to proceed from the size of the brushes that you will use. The author uses 40 cm long sweeping brushes in his design. Therefore, the base will be 40 cm long. By the way, when choosing brushes, you should pay attention to their bristles; if it is too hard, it can harm the shoes; if it is too soft, it may not cope with the intended purpose. However, you can take one hard brush for the sole.

The master cuts a metal corner 30 cm long - 2 pieces, 20 cm - 4 pieces, a metal bar 40 cm long - 2 pieces. The tire can be replaced with the same corner.

Now the device won’t run away anywhere. The shoe cleaning device is ready. Got dirty?? You can start cleaning. We step on the platform with one foot, while the other, meanwhile, actively walks between the brushes. And then we change legs if you managed to get both legs dirty at once
