Category: FACE MASKS

Despite the fact that cosmetology and medicine have recently made a big leap in development, the harmless drug created many decades ago still remains popular. Moreover, the production technology has not changed.

All thanks to the proven features of the product, which can be called a panacea for completely different problems - imperfections of the skin, eyelashes, eyebrows or hair.

When applied to problem areas of the face or hair, a thin film forms on the surface. It creates a protective filter, trapping moisture without discomfort.

The drug, popular among the people, has no particular odor, is hypoallergenic, and its properties manifest themselves fully at any age.

For a child, this is the most effective protection against lack of moisture, drying out of delicate unformed skin, and negative external influences. Mothers can use it to soften the baby's delicate areas after diapers (it is not recommended to apply Vaseline under it).

For older people, a homemade Vaseline mask is a solution to anti-aging problems.

It's safe. Its particles do not penetrate into the deep layers of the epidermis or the circulatory system. Accordingly, the drug systemically does not adversely affect the body and does not cause undesirable effects. The positive effect is only on the application site.

Cosmetologists recommend solving problems with its help for people with excessively dry skin, especially sensitive, prone to irritation, with deep cracks, and also if the facial skin is damaged.

It’s easy to make your own masks at home, which will help eliminate many problems. We present the top effective cosmetics.

Vaseline and honey

A proven and already popular mask that is easy to make at home. It relieves dryness. The components included in the composition nourish, moisturize, and remove fine wrinkles. Also, benefits have been seen in use even in infants.

Three drops of heated castor oil and a spoonful of our product dissolve in a tablespoon of honey.

The mixture is distributed (excluding eyelids) over the face for fifteen minutes. The leftovers can be distributed to the décolleté area - such nutrition will not be superfluous. It's better to do this before bed.

Expert opinion

WE RECOMMEND!

You can add a drop of any essential oil to enhance the effect. A tea tree preparation is suitable as an antiseptic. The composition will help heal inflammation, wounds (for example, from acne), and prevent new rashes.

In difficult cases - with severe damage or peeling - the effect is achieved using the described composition, which must be applied in the form of a compress. Fold the bandage into four layers and soak in the resulting solution. Leave for half an hour. Then rinse well and carefully.

Memo

✔ At home you can make an ointment from poisonous plants. You just have to be very careful. The ratio of raw materials to base should not exceed 1/10.

✔ If you decide to make an ointment from fresh rather than dry raw materials, then feel free to multiply the content of the raw materials by 3. When drying, the concentration of active ingredients in plant raw materials increases approximately 3 times.

Ointments are more effective than other remedies for local problems. Inflammation, damage, skin abscesses, joint pain, vascular problems - ointments are always used for treatment. The only inconvenience of this dosage form is that the fatty components are not completely absorbed into the skin and therefore stain clothes. This inconvenience cannot be compared with the benefits that any ointment provides.

Vaseline and clay

An excellent product for velvety, soft and moisturized skin, which is easy to make at home.

Take a tablespoon of black clay, mix with a teaspoon of Vaseline, half the same spoon of vitamin A and one yolk. Rub well. The mixture is applied and left for a quarter of an hour.

Vaseline and glycerin

This mixture also has an excellent effect in restoring dry skin. An equivalent spoonful of glycerin is taken per spoon of our proven product. They are combined, poured into melted honey (the same spoon), and the juice of one small lemon is added. Gauze is soaked in this composition and applied to the face. After half an hour, the residue is washed off.

It is important to do this mask regularly. The course is three weeks of nightly use. If you meet all the requirements, after the specified time, you will be surprised at the color of your face.

In what cases is it important to stop self-medication and consult a specialist?

Experts warn that chapped lips are not only an aesthetic problem, but they can indicate the presence of diseases that we know about or not. Therefore, home treatment for dryness and small cracks on the lips must be stopped immediately and a visit to a medical facility should not be postponed in the following cases:

  1. If the condition of your lips does not improve after 2-3 weeks, you should find out the reason. Because it could be an allergic reaction to lipstick, lip balm or one of the ingredients in toothpaste.
  2. Herpes is the most common infectious disease of the lips. You must react at the first symptoms so that this pimple does not grow and damage your lips.
  3. If lips are persistently red, dry, or scaly, this may be a sign of an underlying systemic infection.
  4. If cracks or white spots systematically appear on the lips and corners, despite the use of a moisturizing balm. These signs may indicate a yeast infection: oral thrush, angular cheilitis, or thrush associated with a microscopic fungus.

Night mask with Vaseline

Using the simple composition of this mask, it will be easy to achieve a sustainable whitening effect and skin rejuvenation.

Dilute a vitamin E capsule in half a spoon of Vaseline. It is important to mix thoroughly and let it sit for a while so that the components are well dispersed.

Apply the mask generously to your face, after twenty minutes pat lightly with a napkin, massage and leave overnight.

Contraindications to enema

Enemas for constipation are strictly contraindicated if complete intestinal obstruction is suspected. Doctor Subbotin A. M. emphasizes that “due to its low effectiveness, the use of enemas is currently used mainly only in patients with signs of partial intestinal obstruction” (Subbotin A. M., 2010, p. 1754).

But it is important to distinguish between partial and complete obstruction: in the first case, loose stools pass. Partial blockage ends in resolution in the form of liquid feces with a putrefactive odor.

Complete intestinal obstruction is characterized by acute pain, pale skin, sweating, tachycardia, and often accompanied by nausea and vomiting. A characteristic symptom is asymmetrical bloating. In some cases, long-term constipation can only be distinguished from intestinal obstruction using ultrasound or radiography. Therefore, if you suspect such a condition, it is better to consult a doctor.

There are other contraindications to enemas:

  • bleeding from any part of the gastrointestinal tract, bleeding from the rectum;
  • inflammation of the large intestine;
  • rehabilitation period after interventions in the rectum, perianal area, for example, after removal of hemorrhoids;
  • hemorrhoids, anal fissure, proctitis, proctosigmoiditis;
  • intestinal tumors.

An enema stimulates intestinal motility and uterine tone, so if possible, it is better to avoid the procedure during menstruation so as not to increase bleeding. During pregnancy, an enema is done only under the supervision of a doctor and when absolutely necessary.

Vaseline and mink oil

There are ready-made cosmetic compositions of these components, but the best mask is one you prepare yourself. By using it regularly, you will achieve deep hydration of the skin and protect it from external influences (cold, other negative factors). This is an indispensable anti-aging remedy. Both elements are absolutely safe and are recommended even for children.

Mink oil and Vaseline are mixed in equal proportions. Apply in a loose layer. Use daily at night until the desired effect occurs.

Vaseline for eyelashes

This product has proven positive results not only in skin care, but also in eyelash care.

Among the popular medicinal masks (with the addition of Vaseline) for growth and recovery:

  1. With cognac and burdock oil. Everything is taken in equal parts and mixed well. You need to apply it especially carefully so as not to get it in your eyes. Leave the composition on the eyelashes for three hours. There is no need to rinse off after time - just blot it dry.
  2. With castor oil and Peruvian balsam. Its action time is much shorter - five minutes is enough. At the end of the time, the residues are removed with a paper towel. The product activates eyelash growth.

How to make ointment at home

Photo: Pixabay
There is special pharmaceutical equipment for preparing industrial ointments. With its help, making an ointment will not be difficult, but such equipment is not available to most of us.

You can make a good quality ointment yourself, at home. There are several ways to prepare ointments: hot, cold, keeping in the oven.

Strengthening the effect of the ointment by using several components of medicinal plants is a wrong decision. Doctors recommend making an ointment from parts of one plant. Only as a last resort can you use parts of two plants. When using several components, it is necessary to accurately calculate the proportions and composition in order to find the optimal temperature regime.

Recommended ratio of raw materials and base: 1/5 and 1/1.

First way

Pour 50 grams of crushed plant roots into 100 ml of water and boil for 15–20 minutes. Cool, strain and add 50 grams of ointment base.

As a base, you can use Vaseline, lard, unsalted lard, butter or vegetable oil. Grind all components thoroughly in a mortar.

Second way

To make an ointment using this method, it is not recommended to use the roots of the plant, as they contain essential oils. When preparing the ointment, they will simply evaporate.

Melt the fat base, add parts of the plant to it and leave in the cold for two weeks. Crushed flowers and leaves of mint, thyme, oregano, and lemon balm can be used as medicinal parts.

You can make the ointment more concentrated. To do this, take more fresh raw materials and pour in the ointment obtained after the first infusion. You cannot immediately use the resulting ointment after adding fresh raw materials; the ointment must steep for another week.

Third way

This is a way to quickly prepare ointment in the oven. Pour the dry medicinal raw materials with the pre-melted base. Maintain the raw materials at a temperature of 50-70 °C for 6 hours. Then pour the ointment into a container and let it cool.

Fourth method

If the medicinal raw material does not contain unstable volatile substances (most often they are found in the roots and bark of plants), then you can make an ointment by simply boiling it. In the melted base: Vaseline, fat, lard, add parts of the medicinal plant and cook over low heat for up to three hours. Then remove from heat and pour into a jar: do not use a melting container.

Mask for blackheads based on Vaseline

This unusual and extremely simple method will help you forget about blackheads and their marks.

Apply a thick layer of Vaseline to the problem area of the nose and cheeks (it should be without additives). The top is covered with cling film folded in three layers. Only the nostrils remain open.

Try to spend the night in this position. In the morning the compress is removed, now the skin can be cleaned with cotton swabs (apply light pressure on both sides). The contents of the pores are easily removed without damaging the skin.
