Flashing heart with LEDs and optocoupler, gift for March 8

This digital LED heart will be a great gift for a girl for Valentine's Day, March 8, or for her birthday. 21 LEDs are located around the perimeter of the printed circuit board in the shape of a heart. All of them are controlled by the ATmega328 microcontroller. The demo sketch contains several effects that revive the heart. The sketch can be loaded using any Arduino controller. But the main highlight is the vibration motor from the smartphone located on the back side. It creates the effect of a heart beating in time with the light effects. The sketch is easy to change if you come up with new lighting effects and heart beat frequencies. On the back of the heart there is a Li-ion battery charger that will charge your heart via the Mini USB port. The charger circuit is assembled on the MCP73831T chip. The connection diagram is standard from the description of the microcircuit. All details of the project are open for free use. The project created in KiCAD can be downloaded in the application.

Second version of a paper heart

Earlier in this article we already wrote about products made from this convenient and affordable material. However, this time the “heart” craft will be voluminous.

Necessary materials:

  • Scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • Corrugated paper in pink or red.

About twenty-five hearts are cut out. The resulting blanks are bent in half. The edges of the folds must be smeared with liquid glue and all 25 parts glued together. After the structure has dried, you need to straighten it.

Fragrant heart

Crafts made from coffee beans have a unique aroma. And if you make such a coffee magnet and hang it on the refrigerator, your kitchen will smell like the best coffee shop in town for a long time.

For the product you need to prepare:

  • A piece of cardboard. The darker the color, the less noticeable the gaps between the grains will be;
  • Glue "Moment";
  • Yarn;
  • Small magnet;
  • Simple pencil;
  • Scissors;
  • Coffee beans.

A heart is drawn and cut out on cardboard. Then, a small magnet is glued in the center and left to dry for several hours.

After several hours, glue is applied to a small area of cardboard, onto which the coffee beans are attached. It is not recommended to coat the entire product with glue at once, because it dries extremely quickly.

Heart made of cardboard and threads

There is probably no simpler craft: you will need hard cardboard, thread, and scissors.

Hearts of the required sizes are cut out of cardboard. To secure the thread, you can staple it to the base in the middle, or simply pull the yarn tightly and wrap it several times around the center part. If the thread slips off the sharp end, you can cut a small notch in it.

Next, the cardboard hearts are wrapped, moving in different directions, over the entire area. Once the piece of cardboard is completely covered, the thread needs to be tied, looped and cut.

The process takes a maximum of five minutes, and the result is amazing: unusual, creative and, most importantly, this “heart” craft looks good in the photo - there is a feeling of some complex design and long, painstaking work.

"Heart" made of paper

Crafting a “heart” from paper is an easy and fairly quick way to make a nice gift, decorate a New Year tree or home for a celebration.

To make it you will need:

  • Colored paper;
  • Ruler;
  • Simple pencil;
  • Stationery knife;
  • Scissors;
  • Hole puncher;
  • Stapler;
  • Thick colored threads to match the paper.

Using a ruler and pencil, mark a sheet of colored paper into strips two centimeters wide. The cut strips are folded in half. The ends are folded inward and secured in this position with a stapler.

To keep the heart stable, do the following:

Three holes are made with a hole punch above the stapler clip and along the side contour. It is important to understand that the holes must be at the same level.

A colored thread is threaded into the resulting holes. A string of such hearts strung on a thread can be used to decorate rooms for the holiday.

The third version of a paper heart

In general, the algorithm resembles the steps described above. Only the last step is different: the hearts folded in half are connected slightly differently. Apply three drops of glue: in the middle of the fold, from above closer to the edge, and similarly from below.

The result is a voluminous heart, reminiscent of the surface of peony flowers.
