After the work is done, you can begin to cover the insides of the resulting shelf with the same decorative film that was used to decorate the drawers. To hide the edges of the shelf and the cut, be sure to fold the edges. By gluing the edges and thus forming a complete shelf, you can first check the operation of the future chest of drawers. To do this, you need to insert two drawers into the shelf. They should come out smoothly, after which you need to make two more such shelves. There should be three shelves with six drawers in total.

1. The next step is to connect the three prepared shelves together. To do this, you need to put them on top of each other and grease them well with PVA glue. Then, using some weight, you need to press it and let it dry completely.

After the glue has completely dried and the shelves are securely attached, you need to use glue to cover the back of the chest of drawers with a solid sheet of cardboard. Glue should be applied to the bottom of the chest, its lid, and also on the sides. Next, you need to carefully cut out the back, top of the chest, bottom and side parts from corrugated cardboard, securing them with glue to the resulting chest of drawers. It is not necessary to use a background. Any thick paper or self-adhesive film is suitable for gluing cardboard. If you decide to stick wallpaper, choose simpler paper ones; it will be more difficult to work with other types. It is also easier to glue if the outside of the wallpaper is not rubberized, but also smooth, so it is easier to join and overlap.

Initially, I only had normal medium-density PVA glue. Then I bought glue from another company at the office supplies store, which turned out to be much thicker than mine and had a jelly-like consistency. By diluting this PVA with water, I saved a lot.

By the way, keep in mind that you will need a lot of glue if you want all the parts to be well connected. It took me about 5 400 ml bottles for my chest of drawers. Therefore, if you are not a spontaneous person like me, it is best to purchase a liter jar of glue in advance from a hardware store.

At first glance, you might think that cardboard is a fragile material that requires special handling. On the one hand, this is correct, on the other hand, having chosen the desired type of cardboard, you don’t have to worry about its further use. Cardboard furniture will be durable and practical if you follow the sequence of work and recommendations for using tools.

When working with paper, it is important to take your time and glue all the parts carefully and evenly. Instead of white office paper, you can use thin colored paper.

So, let's start with the details of the chest of drawers. On a sheet of cardboard, use a ruler and pencil to draw the following details:

• 2 pieces of back wall 12 * 15cm.
• 4 sidewalls 15 * 6cm.
• 2 children bottom 12 * 6cm.
• 2 children's top 13.5 * 6cm.
• 6 shelves 12 * 5.2 cm.

Glue the parts together in pairs according to thickness. We will get:

1. 1 back wall.
2. 2nd side.
3. 1 top part.

Also, all these blanks need to be glued with plain white paper using a glue stick.

We arrange the shelves so that the distance between the lower ones is 4.5 cm (there will be drawers here), leaving the upper shelves open. We glue the shelves with glue.

Let's make boxes. For the drawers, cut out 4 parts of the back wall 10.7 * 4 cm, 8 side parts 4 * 5 cm, 4 parts of the front. 4 * 12cm Cut the bottom later.

We should get two such white parts with a frame inside. We glue the back parts in pairs and glue these 2 children who received the paper. We do this to strengthen the box. We cover the 2 lower and 2 upper parts with paper.

We assemble (glue) the boxes with glue.

So our job is to make a box. You will need 2 of these boxes. Glue the 3 side walls and the bottom of the box.

After assembling the box, all that remains is to glue the front part, glue the handle from two circles, and glue the handle with cardboard tape. If you are going to finish this chest of drawers, duplicate all the internal corners with reinforcing tape. This is all. All that remains is to move on to the finishing: painting, or sheathing, or pasting, and so on.

  1. We make markings on large cardboard sheets in accordance with shoe sizes, and then cut the cardboard into pieces.

For those who want to avoid unnecessary expenses, but do not want to give up the stand, there is an excellent solution - to make it yourself. And how to do this - you will read in this article.

Materials and tools:

• Laptop to measure stand size;
• yardstick;
• several sheets of paper or newspaper for a stencil;
• thick cardboard for the stand itself (you can use an unnecessary box);
• long ruler;
• marker or pencil;
• large scissors or a utility knife.

You already understand that we don’t need any special materials - everything listed is probably available in any home. Let's start production.

Step 1.

Take paper or newspaper and spread it on a flat surface. It is better to carry out all actions related to measuring the size of the stand and making a stencil according to the “measure seven times, cut once” principle, because at best the stand will be crooked, and at worst it will not hold the laptop.

1. First we will make a leg (this is a crossbar between the legs to give the stand more rigidity). We take a tape measure and measure the length of the laptop along the keyboard, from corner to corner.
2. Mark exactly half of this length with a marker on paper.
3. We draw a line - this will be half of the base of the pole. It's better not to draw this detail entirely. Make a slight inaccuracy and the laptop will stand crooked.

• We measure up from the edges of the segment 4 cm and 7 cm. Draw a rectangle.
• Mentally divide the rectangle into 3 parts: the first third is an almost straight line at a height of 4 cm, the second third is with a pattern or hand making a bend at an angle of 45 degrees to the 7 cm line, the last third is from the right end of the segment we draw a line to the 7 cm line at an angle 45 degrees.
• All this is simply and clearly shown in the photo (detail 1). At the point where the two curved lines meet, a narrow sleeve is made - at this place there will be a cutout for aligning the parts.

Step 2.

You select the angle of the stand based on your personal preferences. This will add up to the height of the right and left sides of the leg. When drawing the template for the leg, pay attention to the tooth that will subsequently keep the laptop from falling.

In height, it should be at least a third of the thickness of the laptop. The slot in the leg for coupling with the leg should not be in the middle, but at a distance of approximately 1/3 from the far edge. This also affects the stability of the structure. Curves are at your discretion.

The slots in the legs and leg can be no more than 3-4 cm in height. They can be 3-5 mm in width depending on the thickness of the cardboard, but in both parts they can be the same.

Step 3.

Cut out paper templates. We attach the template of 1 part with the bottom cut to the even edge of the box chosen as the future stand. It is desirable that the stable parts of the stand are perfectly level (the stand will not wobble on the table).

• Carefully trace the template on one side, then flip it over to the other side and continue tracing. We get one continuous symmetrical part (leg). Apply parts only to smooth parts of the box (pieces of cardboard) where there are no folds.
• On another cardboard (for example, the bottom of a box) we place the paper template of part 2, i.e. leg. We circle and repeat the same a second time. The legs must be absolutely identical.

Step 4.

We cut out all the details with scissors or a stationery knife. We move them along the slots, as shown in the photo.

If everything is combined correctly, then you can be glad that a simple (like all ingenious), functional, strong stand for your digital friend is ready! Install a laptop on it and attach additional keyboards to it, watch movies at a comfortable height, sweep cookie crumbs under the stand - you are now the happy owner of a homemade laptop stand!

This chest of drawers is useful for embroidery or for items, cosmetics, stationery and so on. Such boxes are sometimes used as boxes - for documents, bills, accessories. The product is made of corrugated cardboard and has dimensions of 27 * 20 cm. For work you will need thick cardboard, a stationery knife, scissors, Moment glue, a ruler and a pencil.

• 3 parts 27 * 20cm (main).
• 3 parts 19 * 20cm (shelves and bottom).

If you are going to finish this chest of drawers, duplicate all the internal corners with reinforcing tape. This is all. All that remains is to move on to the finishing: painting, or sheathing, or pasting, and so on.

5. You can make a shoe rack from any large-diameter plastic pipe. Buy a pipe and cut it into several equal parts (their length is slightly longer than the length of the shoe).

The elements glued together in layers are placed under a press. These can be books and other heavy objects. Depending on the thickness of the cardboard, the layers are left to dry for several hours or days. The irregularities formed after gluing are sealed with kraft paper. If there are sharp edges, they need to be rounded off with paper. When these processes are completed, the cardboard furniture is decorated. Several techniques are used for these purposes:
