Fireplace
To create a decorative hearth, you will need a large box or several small ones, depending on the size of the future creation. Small boxes are glued together; it is better to remove the partitions that will be inside the future hearth in advance.
A “firebox” is cut in the front part of the product, into which “firewood” is subsequently placed. Firewood can be made from small real logs, their imitation from rolls of light wallpaper, branches.
To give the craft a solid or attractive look, the box is pasted over:
- Wallpaper to resemble tiles, brick or stone;
- Self-adhesive film;
- Bricks cut out of paper and everything else that its future owners would want to decorate the fireplace with.
The edges of the fireplace are finished with ceiling plinths or border strips.
Home decor is placed on the mantelpiece, and a scoop and poker are hung on a special stand. If you really want, you can also create them from cardboard.
What can you make from a candy box? Hand-made
Content
From a classic rectangular shaped candy box you can make a gift photo frame with a small hiding place inside. To do this, you will need a box with a hinged lid like a book cover and fancy paper for creativity or cutting beautiful wallpaper.
An oval or quadrangular window is cut out in the lid of the candy box, the dimensions of which correspond to the dimensions of the inserted photograph. On a sheet of finishing paper or on a piece of wallpaper, draw the contours of the box, taking into account allowances for folding inward. Place a cut-out “window” on the part of the sheet of paper that will be on the lid and trace it, departing 2-3 cm from the contour. Small teeth are cut out from this indentation. A photograph is inserted into the back of the lid, securing it with strips of tape.
The teeth are folded onto the inside of the cut out window and glued to the lid. The box is coated with glue and carefully covered with decorative paper along the outer and inner walls. The bottom of the hiding frame is decorated with an ornament of napkins using the decoupage technique or a sheet of decorative paper is glued. After this, the outer part of the lid is decorated: the frame window is decorated with elegant braid, flowers and leaves made of corrugated paper are glued to the free surface. A gift and a postcard are placed inside the photo frame box and the entire product is tied with an elegant ribbon.
In order to make an elegant and elegant jewelry box from a candy box, you need to prepare the inner surface for painting using white acrylic primer and a small sponge. If there are any holes in the box, they must be sealed with strips of paper before priming.
After the primed surface has dried, it is painted using aerosol paints in silver or gold. Spraying paint must be done from a short distance, otherwise unsightly streaks may form. Cut out a rectangle from napkins with a pattern or thin decorative paper, the dimensions of which correspond to the bottom of the box and carefully glue it. The side walls inside the box are covered with paper strips of the same color. The inner surface of the lid can be covered with paper of a contrasting color - this gives the box a certain style and originality.
Then the box is turned over and its bottom and outer walls are painted. After the paint has completely dried, the finished product can be coated with a layer of transparent varnish. The outer side of the lid is decorated with an ornament of beads or rhinestones. Inside the finished box you can insert cardboard partitions and dividers for different types of jewelry.

Picnic basket
The theme of relaxation will continue with a picnic basket. You can take her to the forest, to the country house or to kindergarten. Crafts from a box of this format are made very quickly and do not require complex engineering calculations.
To create a lovely basket you will need to find:
- Shoe box;
- Quite thick twine or thin rope;
- Glue;
- A piece of fabric;
- Ribbon or thick lace.
The answer to the question “how to make a craft from a box” is very easy to solve.
- Apply a generous layer of glue to the sides of the box.
- The twine is carefully and tightly glued onto it, leaving no empty space between the turns.
- At the very top, leave a couple of centimeters unsealed, this will allow you to put the lid in place.
- The lid itself is designed in a similar way.
- The resulting baskets are glued or sewn with ribbon handles to the sides.
- A cloth napkin is placed inside the box.
Twine is sometimes replaced with fabric; in this case, the box and lid are carefully wrapped in fabric and secured with a stapler or glue. For the craft, you can use one type of fabric or decorate the lid in a contrasting color. The inside can also be decorated with fabric.

Toys from boxes
A craft from a box for children in the form of a dollhouse will be useful for girls. In such a house you can comfortably accommodate all your charges, and the furniture can also be made from leftover cardboard.
- Young housewives can get their own stove, washing machine, refrigerator, and coffee machine.
- Cars, planes, and ships are more suitable for boys.
- If there are a lot of large boxes, then you can create a whole labyrinth.
- And clothespins or large crocodile clips will help to fasten them together.
Of course, such a craft is not intended for adult children, but little ones as young as one year old will certainly appreciate the funny toy. And when she gets tired of it, the sheets of cardboard are folded until better times.
For home
At home, boxes can be used to make storage systems or caskets. For a wardrobe, cardboard boxes become a real salvation, since you will need a lot of them, but it is not difficult to get them - a large mass of goods enter the house in boxes.
By connecting small boxes (for example, tea bags) together, you get an organizer for storing small items such as socks or tights. For jewelry and hair accessories, you can build a small chest of drawers from boxes.
Shoe boxes can serve as a place to store gadgets and accessories - headphones, chargers, memory cards. By making small holes in the sides, you can run charging wires through and store them in one place without losing them throughout the house.
To decorate indoor flowers, you can make a flowerpot out of a box. Decorate using decoupage technique or any other method.
In the kitchen, it is also convenient to use structures made from boxes to store spices in one place.
You can make anything out of boxes, whatever your imagination and creative impulse takes you to. It is good for children, economical for adults and environmentally friendly for nature. Creativity in creating crafts from boxes is time spent usefully, development of imagination and, one might say, waste-free production.
With a minimum of effort, you can create almost anything out of a box - from a small jewelry box to a children's playhouse.
cat house
A small box and an old T-shirt will help you quickly build a living structure for your furry pet. You can create a cozy resting place in just half an hour.
- To do this, a hole is cut in the box to the diameter of the neck.
- The T-shirt is stretched over the box, excess fabric is tucked into the tucks, and the bottom of the T-shirt is sewn at the back of the box.
- The sleeves of the T-shirt can be tucked inside or made into fun escape holes.
- But for this you will also have to make corresponding holes in the box.
- For hectic kittens and graceful female cats, you can create a whole cat town with ladders, labyrinths, and observation decks.
Storage facilities
Shoe boxes can store more than just shoes, especially since they last somewhat longer than their contents.
From unnecessary boxes you can make a wonderful closet for storing seasonal items: hats, scarves, mittens and gloves. This will allow you to keep your main wardrobe clean and tidy and quickly find the necessary accessories.
- To create such a useful design, you simply need to label each box with bright markers or glue the appropriate labels. The boxes are placed one on top of the other with the inscriptions facing out.
A good option would be to divide the box into compartments that can accommodate pairs of socks or underwear.
Feeder
Waterproof juice and milk bags make a bird canteen.
- To do this, simply cut holes in it, thread strong twine through the top and tie it to a branch.
- Simple crafts made from boxes will not require a lot of effort and complex tools, but they can create a cozy atmosphere in the room.
Second life of packaging
Environmental project “Second life of packaging”
Completed by: senior group teachers
Tukaeva Albina Rishatovna
Golovina Aigul Vadutovna
In the course of life, it is common for a person to leave behind all kinds of garbage and various wastes. Every home generates a huge amount of various household waste, which is ultimately thrown into landfills and burned.
In recent years, the problem of garbage has come to the fore among other environmental problems.
OBJECT OF STUDY.
Object of study
: the use of packaging in human life.
Subject of study
: packaging
Purpose of the study
: learn to use different packaging in life, thereby saving the environment from unnecessary waste.
Research objectives
:
find and study used packaging; find a use for them, giving them a second life.
Relevance of the project:
Household waste in the form of packaging material pollutes the environment. Most of them do not decompose under natural conditions or have a very long decomposition period. To create a cleaner environment, we need to reduce the amount of packaging we throw away, and to do this we need to give it a new life.
Hypothesis
:
If household packaging waste pollutes the environment, then it is necessary to reuse it in the form of useful things for the home.
Is it possible to use empty, unnecessary packaging in a person’s life, to give them a second life?
Objective of the project
:
learn how to find uses for different packaging after their initial use.
Project objectives
1.
To form a family ecological culture of life position in adults and children in relation to important environmental problems.
2.
Develop the creative abilities of children and parents.
3.
Using an example of work, show how you can reuse packaging waste in order to respect the environment.
STAGES OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION.
Stage I. Preparatory.
Before starting the project, we held consultations with parents on the topic: “About the dangers of household waste on the environment”, “What is waste material”. We also had a conversation with children on the topic “Garbage problem No. 1”, “What can be done to reduce garbage…”, “Migratory and wintering birds”. We announced a craft competition in our group called “The Second Life of Packaging”
Stage II. Practical
The bird feeder was made from a plastic bottle.
The Edrenkin family made a feeding trough. Dad helped cut the holes. Anna decorated it.
Craft
“Butterflies”
We needed lemonade bottles. Alina's mother cut out butterflies from bottles, and Alina Kamalova painted them. They can be used as Christmas tree decorations or decorations on the site.
Story-role-playing games
“Barbershop” , “Shop”
Kanzafarov family for the game “Barbershop”
used an egg container to make a beautiful flower mirror.
Dasha’s mother also used a package of chips and made a beautiful vase from this jar, decorating it with a rope.
Semyon Khromov’s mother made a basket out of newspapers
Using PET kefir packaging, the Bulgakov family made a model of the open space game “Crossroads”.
Conclusion
As a result of working on the project, we came to the conclusion that every person can do a lot to keep the house clean and the environment clean. To do this, you need to properly dispose of those things that become unnecessary.
In the process of working on the project, the children formed the foundations of an ecological culture, enriched their environmental knowledge, improved their skills and developed value orientations about the unity of society and nature.
