Of course, you can use an industrial mask instead of a hat, but the color of the finished mask may not match the overall color scheme of the outfit. To ensure that the tail holds well, it is attached to sports pants or shorts using double-sided tape. You can also hang a small piece of fabric in the form of a droplet around the child’s neck, imitating a beard. “Wings” are attached to the back. You can buy children's fairy wings (butterflies) at any supermarket, which are attached with an elastic band, and stick bright rooster feathers on them. The classic costume of the most vocal poultry includes:
- A red or black hat with an elastic band, tightly fitting the forehead, to which feathers and a comb are attached. The comb may be gold, red or orange. It should be borne in mind that the hat should not put pressure on the forehead. If the child complains that the hat is too tight, the elastic band should be loosened. Now you need to fold the fabric so that the bent strips match and sew. You will end up with a sewn piece of fabric with an ironed seam. Afterwards, apply the paw pattern so that the dotted line is clearly on the seam (see photo).

8. Next, we insert the legs of the tilde rooster into the paws and secure it with hidden stitches, but you can glue it carefully if the toy is miniature.
9. Next, we sew the legs into the body of the New Year's gift of the cockerel. How is up to you. Just make sure that the length of both legs is the same. With dense padding, the toy fits perfectly on the feet.

To weave a flat rooster according to the pattern below, prepare round beads of black, yellow, light blue or dark blue, as well as white and red; brass wire (80 cm for the wings and 120 cm for the body).
Start weaving with the comb. After weaving the next 2 top rows, make the cockerel's beak. After the 4th row, weave a thread 20 cm long into this row. In the next row, thread the thread that you just added (this way you will make a thickening under the rooster’s beak). Then weave the remaining body and legs.
