In this photo tutorial we will look at one of the options for making small beautiful flowers - forget-me-nots. The inflorescences of these small flowers will complement any of your sweet bouquets or compositions. Forget-me-nots look especially harmonious with field daisies, chrysanthemums or white peonies. The difficulty level of making forget-me-nots is average. Although the flowers themselves are simple in structure, to assemble one inflorescence you will need many buds, so the manufacturing process will take a lot of time. In addition to bouquets and compositions, forget-me-not inflorescences can be used to decorate headbands or hairpins for photo shoots.
To make forget-me-nots from corrugated paper you will need:
- blue or light blue corrugated paper;
- light yellow corrugation;
- green corrugated paper for decorating stems and creating leaves;
- semolina;
- gouache yellow paint;
- scissors;
- small brush (synthetic);
- glue stick and heat gun;
- thin wire;
- ruler.
Craft stages
Step 1. Cut out forget-me-not petals from blue corrugation. To do this, we will prepare strips 6-9 cm long and 1-2 cm wide. We stretch them a little to smooth out the folds, then the petals will acquire a realistic, even texture. We fold each strip like an accordion and cut out small drop-shaped petals. After cutting, we do not disassemble the stack of petals, but immediately stretch them so that a shallow hole is formed in the center of the parts.
Step 2. Next, we create blanks for the peduncles from long pieces of thin wire.
Step 3. The centers of the flowers are created in a very interesting way using hot glue and semolina. We apply a drop of glue to the ends of the wire blanks, wait until it hardens a little, and then dip it in semolina, take it out and press the center of the drop inward with the back of the brush (the sharp end of the handle).
The flower centers are ready. We paint the finished cooled bases with yellow gouache. We wrap the thin stems with a strip of green corrugation.
Step 4. Create miniature petals from light yellow paper. We paste them over the glue centers of the forget-me-nots.
Then we glue the main blue petals. After the glue hardens, bend the petals outward.
Step 5. Using a thin strip of green corrugation, we form a twig from the pedicels.
