Flowers are always appreciated not only among many women, but also among men. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to buy beautiful flowers, but they perfectly decorate the table and window sills. But if you don’t want to buy expensive and not durable flowers, but really want to decorate your room, then you can make them yourself. One of the simplest and most popular materials is corrugated paper, which bends well. In our master class we will learn how to make a crocus from corrugated paper with our own hands. Not only adults can make such a craft; children can also be involved in the process. Moreover, if the child likes making such bouquets, then the mother can count on frequent creative gifts from her child. And for those who love sweets, such flowers can be made together with sweets and proudly presented to your sweet tooth.

You can prepare such bouquets for your beloved mother or grandmother for a certain holiday - Birthday, Women's Day, Mother's Day. Another plus is that such crafts will be stored for a long time and will always remind you of how dear this person is to the one who gave this gift.

Materials and tools

To make bright spring crocuses from corrugated paper with a candy inside, we will prepare the necessary tools and materials. It is better to use corrugated paper made in Italy - it is denser than Chinese paper and is of better quality. But here it’s up to you to choose.

What you will need:

  • corrugated paper (density 180g/m2),
  • floral wire for stems,
  • scissors, ruler, glue gun,
  • small candies,
  • LL40 threads.

For the bouquet, I chose paper of several colors, but you can make all the flowers in the same color as you wish. We choose small size candies for our crocuses. In my case, these are caramels with different flavors that my family loves.

How to make a bouquet with candies from white crocuses, master class

What is a holiday without flowers? For any occasion, it is undoubtedly very pleasant to both give and receive flowers.

Be it a birthday, wedding, anniversary, March 8th or Valentine's Day, or simply present a bouquet as a return thank you.

You can always buy a bouquet of flowers at any flower shop, which is quite simple and ordinary, but to give a sweet bouquet that contains not only beautiful flowers, but also your favorite sweets, it will be a doubly pleasant and original bouquet.

What is meant by the name “sweet bouquet”? These are bouquets of flowers with handmade sweets, which you can either invent yourself or make. Bouquets of sweets are becoming more and more popular and are quite in demand nowadays.

You can add any beautiful floral accessories, and even fresh flowers or greenery, to flower-candy compositions. In general, whatever your imagination is rich in, this is the final result.

The most important thing is that the manufacturing process gives you a lot of pleasant impressions, and that the bouquet itself pleases your family and friends.

We take the following for the bouquet:

  • Five chocolates, any you want, it’s better to take truffles;
  • White corrugated paper made in Italy;
  • Green aspidistra;
  • The mesh is bright green and swamp with gold lurex;
  • Toothpicks;
  • Five bamboo sticks;
  • Green corrugated paper;
  • A plastic cup will be used as a stand for a bouquet;
  • Glue gun;
  • Simple tape 1.5 cm wide;
  • Double-sided tape;
  • Scissors, ruler and pencil;
  • For decoration, you can take beads and a lady's box.

We will make petals for crocuses from white corrugated paper. The total number of crocuses in the bouquet will be five, each of which consists of three petals. So, we take white paper and, using a ruler and pencil, measure out 15 strips measuring 4.5 * 16.5 cm. We cut them out and get these blanks.

  • Now we twist each strip in the middle, and then fold it in half and straighten it, giving it the shape of a petal.

We make petals from all the strips. The next step will be to form the centers of the flowers from the candies. To do this, take the candy, insert a bamboo stick on one side and wrap it tightly with simple tape. We do this for five candies. We glue the second end of the candy to the candy itself with double-sided tape.

Now we will make the flowers themselves. We take a candy on a stick, first apply one petal to it, wrap it well and glue it with tape, then apply the second petal, also glue it with tape, and also apply the third petal and form the flower itself.

We also do the rest of the flowers. From the green aspidistra we cut five pieces of 5 cm each, its width is 6 cm. From each piece we now cut out three petals for each flower.

From a piece of yellow paper 8x5 cm we form the center of the future flower with stamens. We cut the upper part of the segment into small fringe and slightly curl it with our fingers.

We stretch the workpiece a little in the middle and wrap the candy in it. We tuck the lower tail of the candy, but the upper one remains free. Using this tail, it is very easy to get the candy out later without damaging the flower itself. The candy itself is not glued and therefore can be removed without problems.

We glue the wire into the base of the center with the candy using hot glue and secure it with additional threads in several turns. The length of the wire for the stem in my version is 14 cm, but you can change it as you wish.

For the petals, cut the paper into 2x7 cm pieces and twist the top part 180 degrees. We secure this tail with a drop of glue and slightly stretch the upper part of the petal in the shape of a boat so that it becomes slightly convex. You will need three identical petals for one flower..

We secure the finished petals with threads around the center with the stamens in several turns and secure with a drop of hot glue.

We wrap the flower stem with a 1x10 cm strip of green paper from top to bottom, securing it at the base of the bud and at the end of the stem with hot glue.

Glue three narrow leaves. We cut them out from 1x8cm pieces of green paper. We try to do everything carefully so that in the end your work looks beautiful.

Tip: choose a glue gun with a narrow spout and a switch to regulate the degree of heating of the glue stick and prevent hot glue from flowing out of the gun uncontrollably. This way you can avoid burns while working and ultimately get an excellent result of your creative process in the form of a neat craft.

We got these wonderful spring crocuses made from corrugated paper with candy inside.

We collect a beautiful bright bouquet of multi-colored flowers and delight our loved ones and friends with a handmade gift!

Let's get to work. Take round candies. Next, we will need floral film, which should be transparent, from which we can make equal squares of size 9 by 9. Some needlewomen use cling film, but it will be difficult for beginners to handle, since it is soft. We take the candy and put it in a square of film, look at the photo to put the candies on the film as best as possible. Wrap it up and attach it to a toothpick using tape. We stack the candy wrappers one on top of the other. We put the candy and insert a toothpick without piercing it, fix it with one hand, and wrap it with film with the other and fasten it together with tape.

In our master class we need 25 crocuses, so we start preparing the flower itself. To do this, we cut 12 yellow stripes and 13 purple stripes, one and a half centimeters wide. For each flower we make three petals and in total we will need 36 yellow and 39 purple. We cut each strip into five equal parts - these are our petals. Now we twist each strip into a bow in the middle. Let's see below how it should look. Fold this bow in half to create a beautiful and voluminous petal.

Now we stretch the resulting petal to make a depression. Use scissors to cut at an angle on both sides. We get a neat two-tiered petal. Add a small drop of hot glue to the tip of the flower.

Important! When working on this craft, we will only use hot glue. Other types of glue do not combine well with this type of material, and are also not suitable for use with food.

We begin to paste over the candy. And now one crocus is ready. We do this kind of work with other colors as well. Let's arrange the beautifully received flowers in the basket. We take organza and make a bow out of it, which we also attach to a toothpick. We need several of these, maybe even up to 7, so we fill the space in the basket. Now we make various decorative elements - these can be ribbons, beads, grass. But don’t forget that inside the basket we put foam plastic that holds the structure. Our basket is ready, you can give it to a loved one. Mostly, making this gift takes a couple of hours, but it’s worth it.
