I made my own piano hanger. Now everyone I know wants it.
I often sit on American design pages, and I noticed that similar hangers have been popular with them for a long time. However, we practically do not have them. In six months I saw only one for sale, and its performance was terrible. And as they say: “If you want to get a good thing, then do it yourself!” That's exactly what I did.
I’ll say right away that it’s not so easy to make such a product, and you won’t be able to get by with just a jigsaw. When creating the hanger I used: a miter saw, a drill press, a screwdriver and a sander. But of course you can get by with a regular saw with a carriage and a screwdriver, I just have these tools and it would be stupid not to use them. By the way, I don’t have any drawings, since it was an improvisation.
I made the first hanger from 18-gauge plywood, but at the master class there was already a solid wood version. If you make it from wood, it is better to leave a small gap, since in a damp room the wood will expand and the hooks will not move out well; in the case of plywood, you can make everything tight.

We file the blanks. For me these were small pieces of wood 20*30, 150 mm long. I bought the bars ready-made in the store, 50 rubles per three meters. There should be twice as many such sticks as hooks, plus one more outer hook, and plus two side ones. It’s better to cut them with a reserve, since in the future there will be a chance of screwing up several pieces. For the base I used 16*40 mm bars, it is better to leave them longer and saw them to size at the very end.
