The first stage of work is processing the edges of the product and sewing on the pockets.

We offer an alternative - to build a car trunk organizer out of plywood with your own hands. The material is affordable, durable, and allows you to get a high-quality accessory without extra costs.

What you will need:

• plywood sheet;
• board;
• carpet or heat-shrinkable fabric;

• small corners;
• furniture canopies;
• screws.

Additionally, you will need a hacksaw. It is also advisable to arm yourself with a screwdriver. Otherwise you will have to screw in the fasteners yourself. It will take a lot of time and effort. To process the edges, we take sandpaper; it is more convenient to work with a grinding machine.

Types of homemade organizers for the trunk of a car

DIY car seat back organizer

To make a car trip as comfortable and cozy as possible, you need to always have all the necessary things with you. The organizer that attaches to the back of the seat is a very useful thing.

To make it you will need:

• fabric, both for the main part of the product and for pockets (compartments);
• sewing machine;
• lining material;
• scissors;
• high strength cord;
• needles;
• threads;

A rectangle equal to two parts of the future organizer is cut out of the fabric you have chosen. This will be the basis of the product. To cut pockets, you need to decide on the size. Here are the approximate parameters: 20x33 cm - top pocket, 23x43 cm - middle pockets, 30x43 cm - bottom pockets.

To make the top pockets you need to do the following:

1. Take a piece and fold it in half;
2. After processing the edges of the segment, we apply it to the prepared base.
3. We're scribbling.

One plywood can open two or three cells. Sometimes, on the contrary, there are many lids over one compartment. No need to cut it yet.

1. The simplest and most economical material is plywood or fiberboard for the base of the frame.
2. You will also need a ruler or tape measure, a pencil and a wood saw.
3. To attach the partitions, we will need a screwdriver and self-tapping screws measuring 4.2 mm x 20 mm; they are sold at any hardware store.
4. For upholstery, you can use carpet, which has an adhesive base - 4 sq.m.
5. To make the lid open conveniently, you can use mezzanine hinges; they have a gas stop, so the lid will not fall back until it is intentionally closed.
6. It is advisable to purchase wood glue; they will need to glue all the positions for greater structural strength.
7. And, of course, you will need handles; they can be purchased ready-made at any hardware store or made yourself from an old belt.
8. Construction stapler and 6-8 mm staples for better fastening of the carpet.
