The costume should be as close to the original as possible. Superman in comics and cartoons has a long, flowing red cape. There is no specific pattern; many sew it at their own discretion. You can use the diagram below. The smaller the child, the more economical the cutting of the raincoat will be. A flowing long cape looks attractive. For tailoring, it is better to take satin.

To create a raincoat, you need to take measurements from the baby, starting from the base of the neck and to the knees. Then draw a semicircle on a piece of paper with a radius equal to the desired length of the cloak. From the center, measure an amount equal to the half-circumference of the neck and cut it out. This will be the collar area. Attach the pattern to the fabric, trace the outline with chalk and cut it out. It is desirable that the material is solid and does not require seams. To avoid this, it is permissible to reduce the semicircle by a quarter or even half. The cape can be sewn to a T-shirt, made with ties or fastened with a button.

Shorts

If desired, you can wear shorts or panties on top of the tights. Of course, the child’s underwear will not fit over his pants. Therefore, you will have to sew them yourself. As a pattern, take the child’s shorts, attach them to the red fabric and trace them. Go up a size and raise the waist 12cm to accommodate the belt. To avoid a seam in the crotch that causes discomfort, mirror the part vertically.

Foil can also be a good material if you need a superhero. You can’t make a costume for a boy with your own hands from this material, but it can make a wonderful mask. Take three sheets of foil and fold them together. You can coat it with plasticine between layers so that the future mask holds its shape better. Apply the resulting “cake” to your face so tightly that you can highlight all the facial features. Mark the eyes with a marker and then cut them out. To keep the mask in place, you can use tape, and to secure the shape, keep it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Blow up a balloon the size of your child's head. Then cut the paper into small strips. Cover the ball with them in a random order so that the strips overlap each other, and then let it dry. After this, carefully pierce the ball with a needle at the base and cut the paper product into 2 halves with scissors. Give the resulting hemisphere the shape of a face, cut out the eyes and nose.
