Colorful flowers made from rubber bands are made into bracelets, voluminous rings and bright bouquets that can be placed in a small wicker vase. To create small masterpieces of flora, you need a machine, elastic bands of several colors and a hook. Some products will require clips to secure the edges of the petals.
The process begins with the creation of individual flower elements, which are later held together in the core. These can be petals or sepals, if it comes to a rose. Simpler products, such as a keychain in the shape of a flower, are woven into a monolithic structure using a varied palette of elastic bands.
Lily
You will need: red, white and green threads, a hook, 2 beads.
Master Class
- Start by forming the petal. To do this, collect a chain of 12 pairs of red elastic bands. Details: take 2 elastic bands and pass the hook back into the loose loop. Pull a couple more rubber bands through all the loops. Insert your hook into a new loop and pull a couple of rubber bands through this loop.
- Attach a couple more and pass them through all the elastic bands on the hook. Pass the hook through the new loop, then a pair through the loop, and the second pair through all the elastic bands.
- Pass the hook through the new loop, then a pair through the loop, one pair through the first 2 elastic bands on the hook, and a third pair through all the elastic bands. Weave another loop as well.
- Pass a pair through the new loop, then another pair through the first 2 elastic bands on the hook, another 1 pair through the first 2 loops, and pass the fourth pair through all the elastic bands on the hook. Weave 2 more loops in the same way.
- Pass the hook through the new loop, then pass a pair of elastic bands through the loop and another pair through the first 2 elastic bands on the hook, and a third pair through all the elastic bands on the hook.
- Continue weaving in this way: a pair through the loop, and a second pair through all the elastic bands. In the last loop, pass a couple of elastic bands through all the elastic bands at once.
- Prepare white elastic bands to weave the frame. Pass the hook through the far half-loop, pull through the white elastic and form a knot. Insert the hook into the new half-loop and pull the white elastic through all the loops on the hook, then tie a knot. Weave through this way until the end. Weave 6 petals and connect them into a flower using green rubber bands.
- Next, make a sepal: pass the hook under 2 loops in the center of one petal, then pull a pair of green elastic bands through the bottom. Pass another pair through the elastic bands on the hook, then place the hook under 2 loops on the next petal, pass a couple of elastic bands through this loop, and the second pair through all the elastic bands. Weave it in a circle in this way, and close the remaining holes with a pair of green rubber bands.
- Tighten and hide the knot by weaving them under the loops, turn the flower inside out and make the pistils like the sepals: place the hook in a circle under the loops 4 times, separately form chains of rubber bands twisted in half and attach beads to them.

How and what to weave with?
You can weave bracelets from rubber bands using:
- "rainbow" machine;
- slingshots;
- forks;
- hook;
- fingers.
For a beginner in this business, a special kit is suitable, which includes material, various devices and connecting hooks . You should start studying this type of creativity with simple machine diagrams and gradually complicate the task.
Before you begin, you should decide on the colors of the product . You can choose one or several colors. As they gain experience, they begin to make bracelets from hearts and with decorative elements. Using a thin hook, beads, pendants, ribbons, flowers, stars and bows are woven into them.
Important! Rubber bands can be used in different shades, but they must be the same thickness and density.
A child who is interested in such creativity not only receives pleasure from the process and the result, but also develops fine motor skills.
Lush flower
You will need: yellow, orange and green elastic bands, a hook, a ballpoint pen.
Master Class
- Wind the green elastic band around the hook 3 times.
- Wrap 2 orange rubber bands around the hook 2 times.
- Pull 2 green elastic bands through all the elastic bands on the hook. There should be 4 loops.
- Pull the first 2 loops through the second 2 to make a knot.
- Insert the hook back into the first elastic band and wrap 2 orange elastic bands around the hook 2 times.
- Thread a pair of green elastic bands through all the elastic bands on the hook except the two furthest elastic bands and tie a knot. Repeat these steps 3 times to form the first row of five petals.
- Turn the workpiece over and find 5 green loops. Weave 10 elastic bands through 5 loops, that is: 2 elastic bands in each loop.
- Weave one elastic band in the new row, through each of the loops, but with the orange elastic bands twisted on the hook, and increase through the loop. You should get 15 loops.
- Pass the hook through the loop, wrap 2 orange elastic bands around the hook 2 times, attach the green elastic band, pull it through the orange elastic bands and through the loops on the flower, then tie a knot. So weave until the end of this row. Weave 3 rows like this.
- In the fourth row we will throw on elastic bands: take one yellow elastic band and one orange elastic band. Weave 2 rows, like the previous rows, but throw only yellow elastic bands on the hook.
- Weave one row with only pairs of green rubber bands, forming a sepal.
- Make a decrease in the new poison through one loop. Weave one row without changes, then decrease each row and weave 2 rows of 6 pairs of elastic bands.
- Make a stem from a pen rod. To do this, place a green elastic band under the rod and pass the hook through both sides of the elastic, then pull the first part through the second.
- Take the next elastic band and pass it through the loop on the hook, put the second part of the elastic band on the hook, wrapping it around the rod. Pull the first one through the second one.
- Braid the entire rod with rubber bands in the same way. Wind the last knot onto the rod.
- Weave 2 leaves in this way: cast on a chain of 6 loops, tie a knot with the seventh elastic band and weave the chain in a circle 2 times.
- Attach the leaves this way: attach the leaf to the stem, pull off the last knot of the leaf, wrap it around the stem once and insert the leaf into this knot.
- Insert the stem into the hole at the back of the flower.

Keychain
Most beginners first learn how to weave from rubber bands while creating keychains. And this is quite understandable, since making a keychain is quite simple. In order to understand the secrets of making keychains, you don’t need to go to specialized classes, just carefully read the detailed instructions or watch a master class. And also buy some materials and auxiliary items:
- multi-colored (three to four shades) rubber bands;
- light forks – 2 pieces;
- crochet hook (number does not matter).
Rose
You will need: red and green elastic bands, a hook, a ballpoint pen.
Master Class
- Start weaving a rose with a sepal, using its loops we will form six petals.
- Make the first row of the initial ring, which will consist of six loops. To do this, use green rubber bands.
- Double the number of loops in the second row, weave two elastic bands through each loop. After this row you should have 12 stitches.
- Weave red elastic bands, one at a time, through the loop, through any 6 sepal loops. Unfold and weave 5 more elastic bands along the red loops.
- Weave 4 more rows with reversible rows, there should be 6 in total - one regular, the rest reversible. One petal is ready.
- Weave the second petal in the same way using 6 green loops.
- Form the remaining petals from the inside by turning the petals inside out and finding a green loop in the center.
- Weave the third petal in the same way as the previous 2 - in six turning rows, this petal should be between the first two.
- Weave the fourth petal along the 6 remaining green loops. Place the hook in the center, but on the other side.
- Weave the fifth and sixth petals, like the previous 2. Fold the flower.
- Find the starting ring - the hole in the center of the sepal and insert the stem into it.
- Make 3 leaves this way: cast on a chain of 5 loops, and tie a knot with the sixth one. Weave one elastic band through the 5th loop, then weave one through the 2 left elastic bands on the hook, bring the first left elastic band through all the elastic bands on the hook. Weave through the fifth loop twice.
- Pull the elastic through the fourth loop and leave it on the hook. Pull one more elastic band through the 2 left loops and pull the outer one through all the remaining ones. Weave all the remaining loops in this way. Weave one elastic band through the last loop and tie a knot.
- Attach the leaves this way: attach the leaf to the stem, pull off the last knot of the leaf, wrap it around the stem once and insert the leaf into this knot.

On the forks
To weave a French braid bracelet with forks, you will need the same number of rubber bands of 2 colors. For an adult's wrist, about 45 pcs.
Prepare for weaving:
- fork;
- elastic bands 22 pcs, 2 colors;
- esochka - clasp.
The only difference between a fork and finger braiding is that the rubber bands are put on the teeth, and the position of the rubber bands themselves and their removal are similar.
When starting weaving, we recommend that you carefully watch the video with detailed explanations.
