In modern houses, of course, you can’t find a fireplace, but people have also found a way out and hang their boots on the bed frame or put them under the Christmas tree.

Let's start with the simplest design option for a New Year's boot made of paper. It is possible to involve children in this work; they will cope with it perfectly. Let's present one of the best ideas for designing a paper boot, for which you will need the following materials:

thick colored paper or cardboard;
scissors;
PVA glue;
pencil and eraser;
ribbon.

Let's get started:

Fold a sheet of paper of the desired color in half and draw the outline of a New Year's boot on it. The back of the shoe should coincide lengthwise with the fold of the sheet on which we are drawing. Cut out the silhouette along the contour, you will end up with a pair of felt boots connected to each other.
Next, fold a sheet of white paper in half and draw fur from a felt boot. It looks like a rectangle with torn sides and one of the sides should fall on the fold. Cut out the piece with scissors.
Transfer the boot with fur onto the fabric and cut it out without any allowance.

Let’s make ourselves comfortable and begin the exciting work:

On cardboard we draw a blank for the sole of a felt boot. We cut it out and transfer it to a piece of foam plastic. We cut out the foam in the shape of the sole and cut off a place from it in the heel area where the cup is planned to be located.
Use a knife to round the nose of the felt boot and begin assembling the craft. Glue a sock onto a cardboard sole and place a cup in the form of a boot. If you are going to glue with a gun, then do not set the temperature to high, as this may cause the foam to melt.
We mask unevenness and transitions with cotton wool.
We try on the fabric by stretching it over the felt boots. It can be temporarily secured using clothespins. We cut off the excess and begin gluing the fleece onto the workpiece. At the top of the boot, leave an allowance of 1.5-2 cm for the hem.
Sew the back seam with thread. We drape the fabric beautifully at the front and also sew it together. Don't forget about the allowance at the bottom to wrap it over the sole.
On top of the boot we glue a strip of faux fur with a fold inward no more than 2 cm.
We mask the seams, joints and gluing areas with decorative cord. Glue or sew on the prepared decorations.

Before the New Year 2022, there is still time to make your own souvenirs, which are always more heartwarming than store-bought ones. And they may become the most popular ones - Santa Claus's shoes. Why? Because this is not only an attribute of a recognizable New Year's hero, but also a kind of packaging for sweets.

Making such a shoe is not difficult.

For this we will need the following materials:

2 sheets of white felt (fleece) or any non-flowing material for the sole
universal glue
heat gun
plastic 1.5 liter bottle
corrugated cardboard
scissors, needle, thread
decorative braid
New Year's decor: snowflakes, Christmas tree branches, composite material

So, we have decided on the color of our souvenir, and we begin to make New Year's gifts from sweets with our own hands.

First, from the middle of a plastic bottle with straight walls, we cut out two parts of the shoe base: the bottom and the pipe.

If you take a larger bottle, the shoe will also be larger.

On the cardboard, next to each other, draw two circles with a pencil - this will be the sole. We add sidewalls to the figure eight on the sides to make the sole realistic.

Then we cut out and glue black felt onto the sole.

Felt can be replaced with thick paper or cardboard with a pattern.

Next we decorate the high part of the shoe. Cut a strip of white felt with a height twice as long as the height of the plastic pipe and a length equal to the circumference.

You can cover only the outside of the shoe with felt, but the decorated inside will look more aesthetically pleasing.

Using universal glue, glue the felt along the bottom: outside and inside. The imperfections along the edge will then be removed under the tape.

For the toe of the shoe, cut out a circle from white felt.

The diameter of the circle should be one and a half times larger than the diameter of the bottom of the bottle.

We collect the material along the edge with a “forward needle” seam and tighten it, securing the thread.

The shoe parts - the sole, toe and heel parts - are ready.

For beauty, we glue a piece of felt under the heel.

Then we glue the two upper parts to the base - the sole - using hot glue.

Now we decorate the shoe with braid around the circumference of the top, the joining seam at the top and around the sole.

And now the fun part - decorating the finished structure. It should be fluffy in order to collect the two upper parts into a single whole. You can take a ready-made composition, or you can make decoration options from individual elements. Tinsel, small balls, and beads will look great here.

We attach everything with hot glue.

Let's start the master class on making a New Year's boot:

First, make a pattern of the part from cardboard or paper and cut it out. Place on sheets of felt and cut out two equal pieces.
At the next stage, the halves should be decorated, because it will be inconvenient to do this later. Sew the prepared buttons, beads and rhinestones to the bootleg.
We sew an openwork ribbon to the inside of the boot and let it out. Attach bells to the edges.

Typically, when working with felt and other similar materials, a hand stitch is used. It allows you to sew several parts without any bends, while creating an additional decorative effect. I also followed in the footsteps of proven technology and joined the halves of the boot using a hand-stitched stitch. For greater aesthetics and New Year's contrast, I took white thread.

It's quite simple to do, you just need to get used to it. And yet, when making such a seam, the main thing is evenness and symmetry. The stitch steps should be even and the stitch heights should be the same. The rarer such a seam is, the more beautiful and neat the product looks.

You need to secure the thread in the usual way from the inside. I started working below the folding part, so that if something happened, I could disguise my “first pancake as a lump.”
So, the first “stick” of the needle goes from bottom to top. It turns out to be a loop, and you need to thread the needle into it. You will get a connection like the one in the photo.

Place the 2 pieces on the cardboard so that they touch each other and trace with a pencil. We cut out the sole of the New Year's boot, then it should be cut out.
Place the sole on the red fabric and trace it directly and taking into account the allowance. The second part is made according to the dimensions of the cardboard blank without allowance.
Glue the sole to the fabric, turning the edges. On top, on the folded edges, glue the second part of the pattern, which will cover the wrong side and the sole is ready.
Let's start with the boot. We take the middle part of the bottle and cut out a rectangle from the fabric, where the height is equal to the size of the boot, and the length is the circumference of the bottle. Don’t forget to leave an allowance so that there are no obvious joints and there is enough material for the hem.
Cover the entire plastic cylinder with a cloth using glue. When you fold the bottom edge and glue it to the bottle, leave the edges unglued, about 5 centimeters from each edge.
Now we apply glue inside the bottle along the edge and glue a piece of white fabric, approximately 35-40 cm wide. We bend the fabric outward and it is already possible to estimate the appearance of the future product.
We make the nose of the boot from the bottom of a bottle. We cover it with red fabric and sew it on, tightening it in the form of a bag.
Apply glue around the base of the sock and shaft and glue the parts to the finished sole. The blank is ready, all that remains is to decorate it.
We seal the joints with openwork braid. We also glue it along the perimeter of the edge of the white fabric. It is possible to attach a bell and a couple of spruce branches or glue a holly with ribbons and bells. Decorate as your imagination dictates.

The color of the boot does not have to be red, make it blue, like for the Snow Maiden, or green, like for the elf. If the size allows, you can put a bottle of champagne in the boot, which will create a beautiful and original stand.

The candies themselves will not be a surprise for children, but those packed in Santa Claus's boots will cause a storm of emotions. Teenagers can make their own New Year's crafts for school, for the city Christmas tree or for a holiday competition. To help children and adults, our step-by-step instructions for souvenirs made from inexpensive materials.

From a plastic bottle

Materials:

plastic liter bottle;
plastic cup;
cardboard and glue;
wool sock with New Year's symbols;
decorative braid.

Sections 5 and 12 cm high are cut off from the bottle. A sole blank is made on cardboard, cutting 2–3 mm wider than the outline.

The parts are glued to the base.

The sock is covered with cotton wool to smooth out any unevenness.

A little cotton wool in the boot and a plastic cup are needed for strength.

Carefully place a sock on the assembled frame.

White braid with pompoms is used for decoration.

From a plastic bottle and twine

Materials:

plastic bottle;
roll of twine;
glue;
colored paper;
voluminous white fabric;
a sheet of cardboard measuring at least 30x15 cm;
Christmas decorations.

The size of the souvenir will depend on the bottle. A small tabletop shoe can be made from a yogurt container. A voluminous boot worth half a kilo of candy will come out of a one and a half liter bottle.

Using a utility knife and scissors, prepare the bottle and the sole blank as described above. Immediately make a separate pattern from fabric or paper for the bottom of the boot, which will be needed for decoration in step 5.
The workpiece is covered with masking tape, starting from the bottom.
3 rows are enough. Each subsequent one is half superimposed on the previous one.
The sock is formed by covering all the unevenness of the bottom with masking tape. The depression between the boot and the toe is also covered.
The bottom of the boot, where the sweets will lie, is decorated with fabric or paper.
The next stage is decorating with twine. Starting from the bottom, glue is applied to the semi-finished product in sections 5–6 cm long and the twine is pressed. The string is not pulled.
The rows are laid tightly and evenly.
When the height of the sock ends, continue laying it on the boot.
The last row is placed on the plastic cut. The twine is cut and the end is secured with glue.

After watching the master class, you can make a shoe of any shape and size. As an example, we took a pattern with a New Year's theme applique with sheet parameters of 50x22 cm. For decoration, rectangles of 2x6, 2.5x3.5 and 5x4 cm are needed. All parts are sewn by hand.

Draw a shoe pattern on a piece of paper. This is done in random order.
Both sides of the boot are cut out from red felt.
Now the pattern can be cut into finishing elements - Christmas tree, trunk and top.
All trim is cut in one piece, except for the top. You will need two white stripes.
The lapels are sewn with an overcast stitch.
The tree is sewn to the base using a straight seam.
Decorate gifts with a satin ribbon.
The parts are placed on glue and sewn with matching threads.
The final touch for the applique is bows.

The bottom of the jar is lined with cardboard.
Using a can and a sheet of cardboard, make a base.
The jar is covered with fabric, paper, leather or other material. It all depends on the intended image.

A blank for the nose of the shoe is cut out of foam rubber according to the size of the bottom of the can and taking into account the recess.
A square is cut out of the fabric for the front of the boot.
The foam insert is carefully packed into fabric and stitched with a needle.
Using glue, the spout is installed on the base.
The lower part of the boot is covered with braid and lace.
Between the toe and the boot, the gluing area is covered with a leather, suede or fabric strap. A buckle, metal and plastic bright details are used as an accent. The top can be made of cotton wool, an old fur collar, or loose white fabric.
The final touch is applied in the form of a silver winter bouquet.
