How to make a Pokemon with your own hands: description with photos step by step
This toy was created based on everyone's favorite anime "Pokemon". I wanted to make a realistic looking Pikachu with glass eyes. This tutorial can be adapted to DIY your own art doll, from model making, sculpting, wire fitting, to making glass eyes. This instruction will help you with this.
Creating a model
I made a drawing, then made a shape from clay. I had to use Monster clay, but you can use any wax or playdough clay for this.
I then used tape to cover the entire figure with it. You can see all this in the photo below.
We sculpt a figure from clay so that we can use it to sew a fur shell.
Making a pattern
I hand stitched the fur pieces, but if you have a sewing machine it will help speed up the process. First we sew half of the Pikachu, which you can see in the photo below.
Then sew both halves of the Pikachu together, but not the back so you can place the wire inside.
Sew both halves for the tail and ears, leaving one end open where the wire will be inserted. I used simple stitches.
Pokemon Unite Pikachu Assembly Guide
Here's how to create the best Pikachu build for Pokemon Unite.
Pikachu is, surprisingly and unsurprisingly, one of the best characters in Pokemon Unite . Despite being the only Pokémon on the current roster that has an evolved form without actually evolving, Pikachu is one of the fiercest attackers in the game right now—provided you have the right build, of course. .
Pikachu's status as an attacker means you'll obviously need to make use of its offensive capabilities if you want to maximize its effectiveness. It might just be a tiny electric mouse, but once the sparks start... well, let's hope you're not alone, eh?
If you're playing Pokemon Unite and have decided that you want to become Ash Ketchum's best partner, there are a few things you should know before jumping into ranked matches. Luckily, we've compiled all the parts you need to create the best Pikachu build in Pokemon Unite in this handy guide. Here's everything you need to know.
Creating a wire frame
I used thick aluminum wire and shaped it into something like a keyhole. The rounded part at the top is where the head will be attached. I then attached a thinner piece of wire through the main wire section for the arms. The ears and tail will also be attached with wire to allow them to move.
To give weight to the doll, I weighted it down with plastic balls.
Put the suit on the structure. Don't forget to attach the rest of the body and fill the toy with special filler.
Where is Pikachu used and how to care for it?
The area of application of knitwear depends on its type:
- Heavy is Pikachu suit fabric: business men's and women's suits, skirts, vests, sundresses, school and corporate uniforms, and other items for daily wear. “Works best” in straight cut models.
- Lite is, first of all, dresses, summer skirts, jackets, blazers, thin sundresses, and in some cases, school uniforms. For children's clothing, the option with viscose is more suitable (this also applies to Heavy).
By and large, Pikachu material, suit fabric (see photo), or dress fabric, is not too difficult to care for. It can also be washed in a machine on the “delicate” cycle. Water temperature - up to 40°, powder - regular, bleaches cannot be used. Dry without using heaters and not on a radiator. It is still better to dry-clean office suits made from Heavy (with lining). This way they will retain their original appearance longer.
We will tell you how to properly place an orthopedic pillow in another article.
Important: You should avoid ironing the product, as this may cause deformation of the Pikachu. The steam generator must not be used! Ironing seams when sewing is done according to the following scheme:
- Lowered and lightly pressed the iron.
- Almost immediately they lifted something flat (a board, a thick magazine) and put it in this place and left it until the seam cooled.
- Iron the next section of the seam. Etc.
Interesting: How to determine the front side of Pikachu fabric. The first method is by folding on a cut. Most often, the canvases are folded “face” outward. The second method is along the edge of the fabric that will be used on a dress or other product. On the front it is smooth, the punctures are inward. From the inside there are convexities at the puncture site. And the “face” is a little brighter in color, the pattern, if there is one, is more distinct.
Do you know what flock is, we do, and we even wrote new material about it, we suggest you read it.
Attaching clay parts
I attached the face by first drilling holes on both sides, using wax thread and threading it through the face to the thick wire armature in the head.
The clay arms and legs are glued to the wire using 2 parts epoxy putty.
This is probably the most time consuming task, but I think it is very important to make the toy realistic. I started adding fur to the face using glue. Then I covered the rest of the body with fur.
Assembling Pikachu using origami technique step by step
Since Japan is the birthplace of Lightning Mouse, there are many different options for paper crafts of this cute character. A Pikachu assembled using the origami technique will delight any child and will decorate an adult’s origami collection.
A simple craft for beginners
A simple origami Pikachu head model made of paper, which can be easily made by a child or someone who has just begun to get acquainted with this art.
- The square sheet is placed face down on the work surface.
- Fold it in half vertically and unfold it back.
- Fold the square horizontally in the shape of a pyramid.
- The top of the pyramid is bent downwards so that its top point exactly touches the base.
- Raise the side corners of the resulting trapezoid up, leaving a small gap in the middle between them.
- Once again, fold the side parts of the upper triangles towards the middle - these are blanks for the ears of a Pokemon mouse.
- The ears are bent asymmetrically at an arbitrary angle. By tilting them, you can give the character a different mood and facial expression.
- The remaining three corners are bent back in order to give the correct shape to the Pokemon's head.
- The blank is turned over to the front side and the details of Pikachu’s face are drawn with colored markers or paints.
If you collect several of these crafts, you can use them as an accessory for table decoration or give them out as prizes for competitions at a children's birthday or themed party.
Volumetric model
For those who already have experience in creating origami, or want to try making a three-dimensional model, we offer a master class on how to make a three-dimensional Pikachu from paper based on the popular shape - a cube, or “water bomb”.
The product is assembled from a square sheet of paper, painted on both sides.
- The sheet is folded in half along the horizontal axis and then unfolded to mark the fold line.
- Both diagonals of the square are also bent and unfolded.
- The workpiece is folded inward along diagonal folds to obtain a three-dimensional triangle.
- Both triangles are folded in half and unfolded again to mark the vertical axis.
- Both corners of the facial triangle are turned towards its apex, in the shape of a diamond. The side corners of the rhombus are folded towards the center.
- Steps 4 and 5 are repeated symmetrically on the other side.
- The triangular flap is unfolded on one side: the right and left halves are inserted into the corresponding pockets.
- On the other side, the same valves are bent at an arbitrary angle - these will be the Pokemon's ears.
- The figurine is inflated through the resulting hole so that it takes the shape of a cube. If after inflating the ears do not rise enough, adjust them manually.
- Color the craft with felt-tip pens or paints.
Pikacho fabric - description and reviews, what can be sewn from Pikachu, composition
If you were walking through a store and saw a cute sit-up suit, there's a good chance that Pikachu material was used to make it. The popularity of this fabric is due to its unique properties. These include softness, comfort and elasticity. In addition, the canvas is characterized by an attractive appearance and low cost. This is a budget option with which you can get any product. It will fit perfectly on your figure and give your image a stylish look.
Description of fabric
Pikachu is a synthetic fabric, in the manufacture of which polyester is used (here the fabric is described as polyester) and elastane. Thanks to the addition of elastane, the material has excellent stretch, and in two directions. The link describes what kind of fabric elastane is.
Although today there is a fabric that can only stretch along the weft. Thus, Pikachu does not wrinkle or sag, even if the body volumes have been changed. Pikachu is the material that fits perfectly on any figure.
In the photo - a skirt made of Pikachu fabric:
Compared to other materials that contain elastane, Pikachu has a special texture. It exactly matches the appearance of expensive suiting fabric, and its shades are more restrained. The density of 1 m2 of mother is 280-300 g. Thus, Pikachu can be light and heavy matter.
Heavy types of Pikachu are characterized by slight elasticity. They contain no more than 1% elastane. The material is also distinguished by its texture. It is uniform and striped. Since the shades of both textures exactly match or “collaborate,” this will make it possible to produce a product with original combinations of smooth and striped materials in one model.

Here you can see patterns of weaving threads in fabric.
There are also Pikachu, which contain viscose fibers. When making them, viscose thread is wrapped around a polyester base. Thanks to this manufacturing method, high strength indicators of the material are achieved. In addition, it is able to fix the shape, which is characteristic of polyester. Combines with the hygroscopicity, breathability and thermoregulating properties of viscose. When making Pikachu, viscose is used in an amount of 30%.

Pokemon Pikachu crochet description
Well, admit it, who catches Pokemon? I caught one on an English-language site. The description is freely available, so I think I have the right to post it in Russian.
There are many different knitted Pokemon there, with descriptions, but Pikachu is the king of Pokemon! They say that it is not the strongest, but not a single collection can do without it.
Those over 30 probably remember this then popular cartoon about Pokemon. I don’t remember the essence anymore, but it seems there were Pokemon battles. If yours wins, then you take the defeated Pokemon. Well, you can gather a crowd and arrange fights.
Description
The description of the toy is very simple, the details are not complicated. A regular amigurumi toy, all parts are crocheted in the round. I think even beginner knitters can handle it; the most difficult part in the toy is the tail, but there is a simple flat option.
Here's my Pikachu. YarnArt Jeans. The eyes were only small, the big ones were all gone, and these were the only ones on sale.
The author clearly knitted her Pokemon in 2 threads, because mine turned out to be very small, but cute. The birthday girl liked it) (my daughter gave it to her friend, a fan of the game Pokemon GO)
Brief designations
VP - air loop;
RLS - single crochet;
PR - increase (2 sc in one loop);
UB - decrease (2 sc together).

- 2 black half-beady eyes.
- Super glue.
- filler.
Head
1 row. Use yellow yarn to make an amigurumi ring of 6 loops.

How to sew a onesie
855
Author of the article: Zhanna Lyubarskaya Reading time: 4 min.
There are many costumes for adults and children in the world, but onesies occupy a special place. Let's take a closer look at these creative costumes and how to sew them yourself.
What is Onesie?
A huge number of modern performances cannot do without life-size puppets - this is kigurumi. But in ordinary life, these costumes are extremely uncomfortable, and walking around in the obligatory face mask is even more fun!
There are kigurumi - carnival, theatrical costumes, as well as kigurumi - pajamas and leisure suits.
Taking measurements
To create a pattern we will need:
- Chest girth - we run a measuring tape along the convex places near the shoulder blades, along the chest.
- Waist circumference - measure at the thinnest part of the body.
- Hip circumference - place a measuring tape on the protruding part of the hip.
- Neck circumference - measure around the base of the neck, passing along the jugular cavity.
- The length of the product is from the base of the neck on the back to the desired length.
- The length of the sleeve is along the arm from the shoulder to the wrist, passing through the elbow.
- Body length - measure the distance from the armhole to the expected bow line.
- Front width - measured along the protruding points of the chest from one armhole to the other.
- Seat height - measured while sitting on a chair, perpendicular to the chair.
- Knee line - we lay it on the pattern parallel to the edge along the knee height. We measure from the estimated edge of the trouser leg to the knee.
- The height of the head is along the back of the head from the shoulders to the crown.
Materials for sewing kigurumi
To make fun pajamas (kigurumi), any soft, elastic, well-draped fabric is used. It’s great if it’s fleecy and dense - plush, panvelvet, terry cotton fabric. Most often, various types of fleece are used, for example, fur fleece.
Important! Elastic materials can shrink up to ten percent, pay attention to this when purchasing fabric.
To work we will need:
- Fleece-fur fabric - 2.5 -3 meters.
- Fleece-fur fabric (contrasting or complementary color) - 0.5 meters.
- The lock is a zipper 50-100 cm long (depending on the person’s height).
- Threads matching the color.
- Embroidery floss threads for finishing.
- Tracing paper or graph paper.
- Tailor's chalk, ruler.
- Pins.
- Sewing machine.
- Double knit needle, jersey foot (optional)
- Steamer or iron with iron.
